The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewado Church (EOTC) has been preserved and has managed to maintain its originality throughout the centuries Our church has accepted the Apostolic Faith and Canons affirmed at the First Ecumenical Council at Nicaea (325 AD), the Second Ecumenical Council at Constantinople (381 AD), and the Third Ecumenical Council at Ephesus (431 AD). And our church has preached this apostolic faith and canons ever since to all people who believe in Jesus Christ regardless of culture, language , and ethnicity.
Our church in Seattle is actively engaged with the children and youth of Ethiopian origin. The goal is to help them understand our faith and raise them with our Christian tradition and a high moral standard. And we need a permanent church building to accomplish this sacred objective of instilling our Christian faith to our community in general and to our children and youth in particular.
By the Grace of Almighty GOD, we humbly and lovingly seek to establish our new parish of “Kibre Qidusan Medhanealem” Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church. Our intention is to have a house of worship that is sprinkled with clean, life-giving water, and filled with warm hearts turned upward to God and to spread His word by reaching out to our families, friends, and new neighbors.
